Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel (born on the 2nd of December in 1968), is an American actress. Her performances include daytime television as well as episodic guest performances and movies made for TV. Sofer has been awarded a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo of the soap show General Hospital. From 2013 to 2022, she played the role of Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap production The Bold and the Beautiful.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California), the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), who works as a psychologist, as well as Martin Sofer, who is an Orthodox Rabbi.
In 1970, she moved to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and her father. However, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania as a youngster. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father ran the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Then, she went to the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey which was where her father served as rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. Sofer was a graduate of North Bergen High School and then went on to Montclair State College.
Career
Daytime television
Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer was a part of on General Hospital. The first time she appeared on the show was in 1993 as the manager of a group. Her first appearance was in the role of Rocky McKenzie in the 1988-91 daytime soap drama Loving.
